Low Flow Shower Heads
Low flow shower heads are an excellent way to save on your water bill while continuing to enjoy your showers. Low flow shower heads are very easy to install throughout your house and it takes only a few minutes each. You might think the cost of the shower head would offset this cost, but you don't need to spend much, you can get models that cost a mere $10.
You may remember the earlier models of the low flow shower heads that simply blocked water flow, and began to drip water instead of actually spraying it on your body. Well, newer models are much more technologically advanced these days. Manufacturers have risen to the challenge and produced low flow shower heads that control droplet size, focus the stream more, and in many cases using air to increase the blast.
Due to the lower water pressure, scalding (increasing shower temperature when a toilet if flushed) should not occur if you have adequate piping of at least 3/4 inch in size. You will also want to make sure your plumber (or you if doing it yourself) installs an anti scald valve for extra assurance you won't have scalding issues.
